December time, when i return from "daan saff" to the midlands i'm gonna be looking to do a lot of carp fishing for the three weeks i have off. The water will be an estate lake, i imagine the water is going to be very clear and the weed should of died off. Just want some advice off the carpers on what approach to take ? I'm thinking one rod with a boilie and maybe a small pva bag of freebies and the other rod with a large 20mm pellet and a few 8-12mm freebies. Can't see them going mad for small baits in the cold. Any suggestions ? Tips ?

If the weather is cold stay at home
If the weather is warmer then don't expect bites until the water has warmed a little

I would forget boilies go with Maggot, Caster, and even corn but not meat unless the lake is fishing on a particular bait
I'd take a few glugs too halibut and Strawberry are good round MY way but your lake may be different

Its and unpreasured lake, maybe fished by 5-10 anglers a week, if at all
