hi all i have been pike fishing for about 18 months and i have got the opportunity to fish pitsford res i a few weeks and i just need some advice i usually fish rivers for pike using floats or deads on a ledger cheers

Not fished this water myself but from what i have found out LURES seem to do well in the area called north farm bay,holds lots of Pike....check what baits you can use because some are not allowed on this venue but Sea Deadbaits over 18 centimeters long are allowed (excluding Lamprey) but on reservoirs Lures are the main point of attack...look for weed beds and target those areas....Pike well over 20/30 lb are in this venue,my advice would be ask at the tackle shop near by for info on best methods and target areas...if hireing a boat ask them the best areas but i think the North farm bay area looks your best shot...good luck!
