Hi Jake, Thanks for your comment.. It would be intereting to know just how many knots our forums members use. For coarsh fishing I only really use 2-3 differant knots.. I'm guessing its more for carp and sea fishing.

I only ever use these two knots: Palomar Knot – Uni Knot
I have never needed to use any others and that doesn't change if I'm sea fishing or course fishing.I do think this info is great though and I might have a go at some of these in the furture.

I always use the Grinner knot with swivels and drop loop knot for loops...they have never let me down...with blood knots for my hooks...i only do coarse fishing so these serve me well but i often try other knots as well..always keep your options open i say.

Depending on which brand braided line you use, improved clinch and clinch knot could slip. With certain lines, even snell knot and uni knot could slip.
Palomar knot is easy to tie and it will work well with braided lines. Again, with certain lines, you want to use a double palomar knot just to be safe.
Braid knot was designed especially for braided lines.Real time chicago Real Estate listings!
Uni knot is safe with all braided lines ONLY if you are connecting braid lines to mono or copolymer lines.
Hope this helps you !
