The list is endless of great fishing books out there but i only have three in my collection right now and none are that well known i would say....The one i like to read the most is one that goes way back in time called ANGLING WAYS by E.Marshall-Hardy 1934,it was given to me by a old gentleman many years ago but i still read it today because it lets you know what it was like in days when split cane rods was all you could get and catgut line and a lot of old tips that i have never heard of before just great reading....i also have a book called The complete guide to fishing skills by Tony Whieldon 2002 edition that goes through all the skills in fishing in basic details and is easy to read and understand...the other one is the concise encyclopedia of Fishing 2003 edition more in depth details in this book with nice pictures but another nice read....just to end my list of books i came across a old Angling Times coarse fishing book 1994 edition that had been thrown away so i saved it from the skip, very informative book as well and if you can get you hands on one i would recommend it....but lets not forget the daddy of them all THE COMPLEAT ANGLER...

i Do read a lot of mags from Anglers Mail to Angling Times that i buy every week but the mags tend to be a little repetitive in there topics so i don't buy them so often now plus it is expencive to keep buying them....counting the coppers these days!
