Warren Mill Fishery, Pendoylan South Wales

Warren Mill is situated approximately 10 minutes from junction 34 of the M4.

The lake is only small and has approximately 40 pegs. The depth is between 18 inches upto 5 foot, so fairly shallow but dont let this fool you.

The carp in here grow fast and are like the 1970's female russian shotputters!!! They grow to around the mid 20's but there is a healthy head from 4 pound upwards. There are also plenty of other fish including bream and tench up to 6lb, roach and rudd up to 2lb and perch up to 2.5lb.

I haven't been fishing long but keep returning here as the fishing is fantastic.

The hotspot is The Walkway (fishing under your feet almost) and also on the Walkway fishing into the reed island.

It's a day ticket fishery costing £5 for adults and £3 for children.

Theres no closed season.

The fishery has been mentioned in IMPROVE YOUR COARSE FISHING (sep07)

Dont forget your rod license as the Environment agency find this an irresistable stop off for spot checks.

website is Warren Mill Farm Park Vale of Glamorgan near Cowbridge.
