Right I actually agre with Carping On too

But let me ask you this

Do Argos sell maggots ?????

Do Tackle shops sell electrical goods????

the answer to both is NO

so if you go to argos you might get a slightly cheaper price but no advice to help or other bits that might help you

Argos are there to empty your pockets of money NOTHING ELSE

yes i agree with you

but i really dont like my local tackle shop

the owner was on the tv show tameside patrollers for selling ilegal air rifles and guns without a license and he needs a good bath

but yes you would get more help from your local tackle shop

Im just starting out too mate. Ive just bought that same rod to get me going but got it from a tackle shop, couple of quid cheaper than Argos too. Saved £9 on the reel too which i got off internet, have a look on Falcon Tackle Web Site, all your fishing needs in one shop.
