Hi guys. I have decied to add this thread - giving people a couple of tips on what to look for in sea fishing areas.
Piers, Breakwaters and Jetty's: Many species of fish - especilly mackerel, pollack and wrasse will feed around these areas so look out for them! Boats: Like with piers, jetty's and breakwaters, many fish will feed on the bottom's of them - so also keep and eye out for these areas! Diving Birds: Obviosly - diving birds etc. will suggest that fish such as mackerel are around. Sea Plants: Many fish such as warsse may be around these areas. Rocks: Rocky areas and caves underwater can hold conger-eel and bass. Shadey Areas: Some fish may hang around areas such as over-hanging rocks and piers. Bubbles: Small bubbles on the surface may suggest that some fish may be feeding nearby. Previous Angler's Bait: If you find any scraps of bait or ground-bait - fish will be around that area - searching for the smell. I hope this information helps! Tight Lines! |
