Hi guys. I have decided to post this thread letting people know what the current UK size records are for most sea fish.
SOURCE: Sourced via the NFSA (National Federation of Sea Anglers) website. RECORDS: the biggest ever _____ caught is: Bass - 19lb, 9oz, 2dm. Bream - 6lb, 14oz, 4dm. Brill - 16lb, 0oz, 0dm. Coalfish - 37lb, 5oz, 0dm. Cod - 58lb, 6oz, 0dm. Conger eel - 133lb, 4oz, 0dm. Dab - 2lb, 12oz, 4dm. Flounder - 5lb, 11oz, 8dm. Garfish - 13lb, 40z, 12dm. Haddock - 13lb, 110z, 4dm. Herring - 7lb, 1oz, 0dm. Ling - 59lb, 8oz, 0dm. Mackerel - 7lb, 2oz, 7dm. Mullet - 10lb, 1oz, 0bm. Plaice - 10lb, 3oz, 8dm. Pollack - 29lb, 4oz, 0bm. Tope - 82lb, 8oz, 0dm. Whiting - 7lb, 12oz, 0dm. Wrasse - 8lb, 7oz, 12db. How To Claim A New Record: If you think you have caught a fish above any of these sizes, claim it now on the NFSA website! These are for BRITISH ROD CAUGHT FISH ONLY.
