It's alright for some. You've just had 6 weeks off, and got some more pretty soon

Oh yeah it was good but most of the time the weather down here was c*** and could still only go fishing around once a week - although it's getting better!

You can see it on my latest progress post but as i'll change it to update it in a bit - here is that report:

LATEST UPDATE:
Hi! I went sea fishing for a couple of hours today at Penndennis Point near Falmouth. I used ragworm as bait, with the float (my favorite method)!
High tide was at 9.20am (9.21am to be priciese), and the weather was great for fishing!
I caught 1 whiting, 1 wrasse and 1 sea bream.
I'll let you know what i catch when i go again, but until then,
Tight Lines!

THIS UPDATE WAS ON 20th SEPTEMBER SO ONE WEEK AS OF TOMARROW (Saturday 27th Septmember).

That was probley the one your on about - but i updated it again just a minute ago as i went again yesterday - see My Latest Sea Fishing Progress.

Wink

Sorry It's taken a while to give a report on the fishing at Chesil, but here goes!! I arrived at the carpark at Abbotsbury at roughly 1230, and waited for my mate to turn up from Southampton. With some new tackle to prep, including a new 7ht mag reel ( that the wife doesn't know about ), I set about sorting my gear out. The weather was pretty good. The sun was shining, and there was a light breeze from the north east My pal turned up about half hour later, and after a brief chat catching up on old times, we set off on the long slog along the beach. After much cursing about how much gear we had brought, we arrived about 200 metres short of Dragons teeth, and set up between a couple of mackeralers. We set up our rods to catch some mackeral bait for later on, and had about 8 small joey mackeral in no time at all. We changed our rigs, one floating a mackeral strip about 40yds out, and the second a pulley rig with a squid/lug cocktail. After about half an hour I had a nice take on the float, but maybe rushed it a little, and so missed it. After about an hour with no luck I decided to change tactics, and set a two hook flapper about 120 yds out. Through out the night all that seemed interested was pouting, pouting and more pouting. the bait we used was squid, lug, mackeral, sand eel, rag and peeler. No matter what we tried all we could catch was pouting. So come about 0930 we decided enough was enough, and packed up our gear and trudged back to our cars. A bit disappointed that we didn't catch more, we vowed to come back, and try our luck again. Which we are currently planning.
