Hi guys, i decided to post this thread, as most of you will want to come down to Cornwall to sea fish. So this will tell you this months latest baits, fish, hot spots, tips and more!
DECEMBER 2008 THIS MONTHS TOP LOCATIONS ARE: Shore, Rocks and Esturies: This month, mackerel, garfish, bass, mullet and wrasse can be caught from Porthkerris nera Helston during the daytime. And at nightime, you can catch doggies and conger's. Piers, Harbours and Jetty's: This month, you can catch garfish and mackerel during the day, and at night for conger's and big bass off Newlyn Harbour near Penzance. Off A Boat: This month, you have a chance of big pollock, ling, bass, cod and conger's from the seas off Penzance. Wreck: Wreck fishing from the 1947 sunken HMS Warsptie, built in 1915, ledgering, with peeler crab, gives you great chances of big, male, adult conger-eel this month in Cornwall. THIS MONTH, THE TOP BAITS ARE: Livebait: This month, the best livebaits for areas in Cornwall are crustichains. Such as peeler crab, hermit crab, spider crab, lobster, shrimp and prawns. Deadbait: The best deadbait for areas in Cornwall this month is chopped up mackerel. Groundbait: This month, rubby-dubby is the most common groundbait for fishing in areas of Cornwall. Cocktail Bait: At the moment, the best cocktail bait presentation is ragworm and peeler crab on one medium sized hook. Other Bait: This month, sausage meat and luncheon meat is great for the hot spots in Cornwall. Lures: At the moment, spinners are very common for catching bass in Cornwall. THIS MONTHS TOP TACKLE: Off The Shore: This month, a paternoyster rig with the float is probly your best bet. With 2 or 3 hooks. Off A Boat: Deffinatly fishing from the bottom at the moment in Cornwall is your best bet. With a bit of weight, it's always good! THIS MONHS TOP TIPS: Sharks On Crabs: At the moment in Cornwall, peeler crabs, hermit crabs, spider crabs and lobser are working like miricals for small sharks, dogfish and tope. Bass On Feathers: At the moment in Cornwall, bass a really going for feathers and lures. THE LATEST CORNISH SEA FISHING NEWS: The Shark Who Got Revenge: A fisherman from Cornwall caught a blue shark off the coast of Cornwall a few weeks ago. It was only a baby one but when he went to hold it up for a piccy - it was still alive - wanted payback and bit his hand off! He came out from hospital a few days ago with a wooden hand.
