if i was to fish in a stream myself i would use ledger beacause it doesnt really matter wot the weather is like u u can hold ur bait to the bottom..... i would use the same fish that are natural in the stream...... perch and eel do take deadbait but if u are beadbaiting thru the day there is very little chance of being pested by eel as they are most know as night feeders..... gd look mate...... let me know how u get on.....

You are right, always hook your fish with the hook closest to the rod tip in the root of tail and the trailing hook half way down the fish "NEVER IN THE HEAD OF THE BAIT" you will def deep hook pike this way..
unless you hit them soon as you get a take, and know lots about Pike and Pike fishing.. .....as for fishing deadbaits matching up to whats in the stream hmmm you will do alot better using sea baits as pike just love them and as for eels,Perch taking...put half a Mackerel on, it aint gonna be picked up by Eel or Perch that way so its Pike runs only....![]() |
