where to fish ?

hello

just moved to New Mills near stockport and am a bit stuck for a good pike venue can anyone help , most of the places round new mills are controlled by a fishing club and i carnt get in till january ( bugger ) so i need somewhere sharpish b4 i resort to carp fishing :-)
i mainly lure fish but am more than willing to dust of the old dead bait rod
