pike rod

hi i use 3 1b pike rod for spinning and 15lb mono line is this fine to do this or could i use a normal spinning rod

IF the fish are big then thats fine -- I'd be tempted to use a lesser weight line myself --I also use one of my 2lb Carp Rods (one I no longer use for Carp) for spinning
