zander on the grand union canal in london?

anyone heard of zander being taken in the grand union canal in london?

someone i spoke to last year mentioned that he had seen someone spinning up near alperton for zander, ive not been able to find anything out since...

My friend fishes the GUC quite a lot he said hes seen plenty of pike come out but no zander.. Did ur friend say they caught one?

no he didnt see the guy catch one.

i was reading the messagges and i would be interested to know which part if the grand union in london would be good to try some lure fishing, i tried the area close to harlesden/park royal with no success
any good tips?

It's a Central European fish that has been artificially introduced to the UK and as such you are not supposed to put it back you are supposed to kill it and report the kill to the Environment Agency here in the UK
