There is a major shortage of good pike waters in the northwest, i would recommend trying your local canal or ask in your local fishing shop which local waters hold pike. Staffordshire holds some nice waters including lake Rudyard, this apparently has pike to over 34lb (my PB on this water is 10.4lb)
Fishing in the UK may be slightly different to Africa as we only have a handful of rivers. the commercial fishery scene can be entertaining but you will have to travel about a bit if you want to fish for the bigger fish, Lakemore country park near crew holds some nice cats as well as sturgeon and it is not a million miles from Bolton more like 40 about the same distance as Rudyard. Both are well worth the trip (you have to book at lakemore in advance) ![]() |
