hi, im going to reesby reservoir near boston and im deadbaiting ledgered off the bottom will a normall free running bomb rig with a wire trace be fine?or just it need to be paternostered or anything. plus what the best way of hooking a roach on a trace? thanks

That would be fine you could adapt it slightly if you wanted to pop up your deadbait off the bottom in a sort of zig rig style make sure to put a shock bead on your wire trace, the roach well that depends on the size really but its always best to hook the tail and the flank as pike take the fish head first by doing it this way you shouldnt deep hook any pike.
