Biggest pike yet

Hi guys im new to the forums, my names Jamie and ive been fishing since i was about 4 or 5 im now 18. Hadnt been fishing for 2 to 3 years but always wanted to go again however after selling all my gear i went out and bought a spinning rod, new reel, spinners, wire traces and some dead baits (roach) Planned to go sunday morning but drank to much on saturday night, finally got down the river - River Tees btw- and tried spinning for an hour but to no avail.

After that i tied up my double hooked wire trace and dropped a nice roach into the side near some reeds. With all the heavy rainfall we've had in past few days i let it trot past the reeds 4 or 5 times and was about to bring it in and go when this beauty ate my whole roach and my hooks!

Not sure how much it weighed as i dont have scales at the moment, trying to buy gear back as and when i can afford it (already spent £140) im guessing its around 4-5lb but couldnt be sure. Pike was the last fish i caught out of the river before i stopped and now its the first one now that ive started again.

Hope you enjoyed my story,

Thanks,

Jamie R

nice pike mate what did you catch that on, the one i have cought has a interesting story, i went out with my grandad and we went 2 a local river, we looked over this bridge and there was 2 pike swimming side by side, so i went down with one of my smallest spinners, i casted in about 11 times but they was not bothered i gave it 1 more chance but i tryed doing it at the bottom but it got stuck on a rock i pulled and pulled but i thought i had lost it so i pulled harder and it came flying out the water and it had the smallest grayli on it it was no more than 4cm so i put it infront of these pike well the smalllest one nailed it and went flying upstream a short fight but good result Me and pike 2.jpg

Lol ye

My mate went fishing on a lake and didnt catch anything all day, then his rod screamed off and he started reeling this perch in about 5LBs / tench wasnt tehre so and then he reeled it into the bank just about to land it and BAM a pike grabbed it so he caught a pike and tench/perch at same time and as the pike only bit its tail they were both alive.....very interesting
