Pike Help

Hi everyone, im an all round angler, and i occaisionaly go predator fishing, unsuccessfully as yet. Ive been trying to catch a pike for about a year now! Does anyone have any tips on location, method or bait, and time of day or time of year please, thanks.

Hello mate,
Your best time for getting a good pike is this time of year...if its really cold get a deadbait in the water, as you will have more chance of a take cause its a nice free easy meal and the pike will be a little lazy...make sure you know how to handle them mind if you aint ever caught one before itsbest to go with someone that has....

Well i don't no the river dee, but try to leave your baits in the water for min 45 mins each cast and re-cast every hour to a new spot, cause i always feel if a feeding pike is near your bait, these time scales should get you a take if not move !! and don't put the treble hooks in the head of the deadbait...you don't want a deep hooked dead pike.............hope it works out for you and keep us posted....
