Whitmore Fisheries

Whitmore Fisheries established in 1998

7 lakes from which to fish

THE BASIN

Large pleasure bags can be achieved from this water. It is a difficult water to learn especially without advice, but can be very rewarding when you have mastered the technique of the sloping bottom hence THE BASIN

CARP - 19LB
BREAM - 3.5LB
TENCH - 4LB
GOLDEN TENCH - 4LB
ROACH - 2LB
RUDD - 1.5LB

EAST LAKE

There are various methods to learn on this lake. An accurate plumb up and a steady feed pattern should give you bites all day! Nevertheless, be warned, with the hard fighting barbel, concentration is a must, take your eyes off your rod and it will be dragged into the depths.

Carp -12,lb
Bream -1.5,lb
tench- 3,lb
Goldern tench -3,lb
Roach - 1,lb
Barbel - 5.5,lb
Chub - 2,lb
Gudgeon - small

THE DOUGHNUT

Very smilar to the East Lake, but with the added bonus of a center island, which if you can get close enough with a float or feeder will give you another option to fish

Carp - 12,lb
Bream - 1,lb
tench - 2.5,lb
Barbel - 6,lb
Roach - 1,lb
Rudd - 1,lb
Perch - 1,lb
Orfe -4,lb
Chub - 3lb

ISLAND POND

This is a small-secluded water with an island to one side, ideal to fish to on a pole. The overhanging branches make it difficult to fish to on a rod and line but a feeder round the back of the island is a good option. Large carp are taken mainly from the rear of the island or on the surface against the tall trees.

Carp - 16,lb
Bream - 10oz
Tench - 7,lb
Perch - 2,lb
Roach - 1 lb
Orfe - 1,lb

CLUB CANAL

A bite a chuck on maggot, castor or pinkie feeding the same. Larger carp can be taken on pellet or sweetcorn. This canal is designed for the club angler with a maximum 10-metre pole, but is equally suited to the pleasure angler on rod and line. You will be sheltered with a grass bank to your rear and small coppice to the front.

Carp 4,lb
Bream 1.5,lb
Tench 1.5,lb
Perch 2.5,lb
Roach 1,lb
Rudd 1,lb

MATCH CANAL

Large stocks of small fish here with the added bonus fish. It is a 17 peg oval water 10 metres wide. Fish to the far side, tight against the bank on the deck or come mid-water and fish up in the water on caster or pellet.

Carp 2.5,lb
Barbal 1.5,lb
green tench 0.5,lb
Goldern Orfe 0.5,lb
Pink Orfe 2.5,lb
Bream 1,lb

LILY POND

A small picture postcard water with large pole breaking carp. What can I say! If you want to test your skills this is the water. Fish the margins, far bank or centre track all of which produce good weights. No large bags! Just quality.

Carp 27.lb
Perch 0.5,lb
Tench 8,lb
Roach small
Rudd small
