The Rising
This fishery boasts 3 lakes, The Hallows, The Broomstick and The Cauldron, ranging in size, with disabled access
to The Cauldron which also has car parking facilities alongside. All lakes are accessible by a gravel path with all pegs nicely laid out and well spaced. Opened in 2007, The Rising is aimed at families and juniors who enjoy a good day's fishing in attractive surroundings. All the lakes are well stocked with a variety of fish including Carp to 15lb, Tench to 5lb, Barbel to 3lb, Bream to 4lb and Perch to over 3lb. There are also Roach/Rudd, Golden Orfe, Crucian Carp and Gudgeon making up a splendid variety. The Cauldron is the smallest of the lakes with only 6 pegs and has disabled access with parking available right next to the lake. It has a depth of between 4 - 5' and features an island. Don't let the size fool you though, because this holds carp to 15lb, tench to 5lb, bream to 4lb and barbel and perch to 3lb plus roach/rudd, crucians, golden orfe and gudgeon. The Broomstick has a look and feel of a canal, has 8 pegs all on the one side and holds the same mix of fish but smaller. It has a general depth of 3'6" and this is where the junior matches will be held. The Hallows, is the largest of the lakes with 22 pegs. It has a depth of between 3' and 12' and features 2 islands.
