Moran's Moat

Moran’s Moat is situated beside Fan Lodge. It is a purpose-built fishery, roughly 110 metres long and 60 metres wide at the top. The water is around 11 metres wide and has 30 pegs. It was built with a shelf on either side and is 1.6 metres deep.

This water was first stocked with 1500 small tench, 2500 4" to 6" skimmers, several thousand mixed roach, carp, gudgeon and hybrids, then with several thousand more small carp from 3" to 8" and 100 common carp around 12" to 15".

It is possible to book this water for Matches by contacting the Match Secretary, at a minimum of ten pegs costing £3.00 per peg.

Rules - for Moran's Moat - No keepnets except in matches. Barbless hooks only.
