German Lane Fishery

This is a fishery with 2 reasonable sized lakes, one an oval shape with

an island running down the length, and the other boasting 2 islands.

Both of them hold a well stocked variety of fish, with the oval lake being

the match lake.

Main Lake

The lakes range in depth up to about 8 feet and have Carp to over

20lbs, mirrors and commons, there are also Tench to 4lb, Crucian,

Ghosties, Roach and Rudd

Facilities

Car parking is no problem and is just a few strides from the lake.



Current Prices

The current charge is £5 per day with no extra charge for 2 rods

Fishing is from Dawn to Dusk


Rules and Guidelines


Fishing is from dawn till dusk 7 days a week

Night fishing will not be allowed

All anglers must hold a current NRA rod licence

Keep nets are permitted

Barbless hooks only

All litter must be removed by the angler

Groundbait in moderation



How to get there

The fishery is situated off the A49 in Euxton.

Exit the M6 at junction 29 and follow A6 Preston. At traffic lights turn left onto the A49 for Wigan. Keep on this road for several miles, you'll see the Euxton Mills pub on your right hand side. Keep straight on past the pub, the road then goes down a big dip and as you start to come up the other side German Lane is on your left and the fishery is approx 400 yards up on the right hand side.

one problem with this place is litter its not very well looked after and look abit lik a building site at times, also it is very hit and miss fishing wise, the regulars never seem to blank but thay will not let on there methods, can be an intimidating place to fish. but it has a plus of no charge for 2nd rod, so for the carp guys its not a bad place.

from the 1st of Sept 2008, the use of keepnets is not aloud on the main lake, due to a few problems with younger anglers keeping fish in nets for 7 hours plus. my opinion has changed over the past 12 months with this place, i have put plenty hours in getting to know the venue, and become a formidable regular at this venue, over the summer months paste on the bottom, and pellet waggler or pole fishing pellet shallow take this place apart with some 80lb plus bags under my belt this year on the main lake and 30lb bags on the match lake. well worth £5 to fish, and you will get you ear bent by the baliff "gerry" with his tales of the so called good old days and how he dug the ponds.
