Accidents whilst fishing

Has anyone had any injuries whilst fishing?
In the summer i slit my finger open just below my finger nail and i did it on a tin can lid facing upwards. It really hurt

My wors one was standing on my No4 section of an 11m pole
found a couple of replacements in one shop and it was
"HOW MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
got one from another at a much more reasonable price

As for hurting myself I think the worse has to be the one where my son then aged 6 cast sideways and I got a lovely (not) size 12 hook in my arm

i once got a ptn caught in my ear when learning to bow and arrow fly cast my dad was killing himself laughing and took a lot of pleasure telling all the lads in our local bar. Ouch!!!!!!!

i wasnt fishing but i managed to get hook buried upto the eye in my thumb, still set up on rod, i had to go to a+e to get it taken out, worst part i used to work at the hospital and knew some of the staff working

i have two first one was i had a ledger stuck in reeds to my left i couldnt get it out so i walked back with the line then suddenly sprang out and whacked me in the chest and it wasnt what ud call a small ledger lol, and also triping up over the peg falling on my 5m whip and got a big piece of watever its made of stuck in my hand and i had to pull a 3inch bit of it out of my hand with my fishing pliers.

I was once fishing in a match and was so intent on doing well that when busting for a Wee I whipped it out pointed it down and let it run, straight into my wellie, must have been an accident cos I sure didnt mean it! MML

me, i had a really stiff boat rod,,,was out fishing on my boat and hooked into something massive, next min the line snapped and the rod smacked me straight in the nose,,

Went to hospital after a few days pain soon to find out i broken my nose lol!

another wen i took my girlfriend first time fishing, she tried to cast and ended up lodging a hook straight in my ASS, christ that hurt, lucky i had pliers to get the hook out
