IF you are talking about an eyed hook then I use the Centauri Knot
although there areplenty to use I PERSONALLY find it easy

IF you are using a spade end hook then buy and learn how to use a hook-tyer

even with a hook tier i can't tie a spade end and i've got two different kinds jez i must be thick.I could 20 years ago but now the brain is dieing no chance.

Get some new specs although I have to use a tyer wheras one of my boys (he's 28 btw) can tie them freehand !!

hi,you're best to use a simple loop to loop knot,i find this pretty reliable,

BTW folks
The knot Darren describes as a Hook Snell is altered slightly in Carp fishing by leaving the initial piece of line around 2 inch long and then tying a loop in the end to make a hair rig

a lot of Carpers also call this the knotless knot
