I am in America and was curious if the style of fishing uses a lot of tackle and such. I have read catalogues of European fishing and see lots of things that I have no idea what they do and would like to know if you really use these things. Typically we use a few bait rigs and some float fishing but not much. Theres a lot of lures here. What do you normally use when you go fishing?

I have two different types of floats. One already has an eye on the end to attach to a snal slide. The other float has nothing but a toothpick looking tip. What are some common methods to attach these floats to your line?
