Davebell, you losing only 4 fish is a good day surely?
I thought I was on for a bad day when I took a fella out for the day and when tackling up he looked at me and said "How do I put the line in the rod?"
Actually it turned into quite a humourous day, remember?

Here's a bad day for you.

Went fishing with the old fella who hadn't fished for a while. During the course of the day he lost 3 floats to the tree gods, 2 leads to crack offs and managed to kick his maggots over the side of the peg into the pool. To cut a story short, there is a public footpath that circles the entire pool. The old fella went to cast out his final lead only to hear a chap scream out from behind him. Realizing something was wrong he turned to see that he had hooked the poor chap under his jaw with a size 8 barbed hook (painful for sure).

After getting the shocked chap into his car he then drove the 9 miles to a hospital where he spent the next 5 hours in a hospital waiting room. From the x-rays the hook had actually gone through the chaps skin at the bottom of his jaw and dug into the bone of the jaw. This resulted in the need for surgery and left the old fella in distress about what had happened.

Needless to say he has put his rods in the back of the shed and has never used them since.

Would you fish in these conditions?

This guy, whom i know well, and who grew up fishing this spot, is fishing in pretty wild conditions. Rock fishing in Australia is the the country's deadliest sport - believe it or not:
