The Thames, but It has also worked well on lakes I've fished. I only realy make it when the tackle shop's closed or I cant be bothered to trek it all the way there! But its good, something the fish arent too used to.

Re: Ground Bait ingredience.

Hi AK, i've recentley stumbled upon a new groundbait recipe that works wonders for keeping fish feeding in your swim, either grate or blenderize half a loaf of crusty bread this will make a really fine crumb consistency and will distribute a carpet of feed in the swim , add some small particles i.e hemp, birdseed, even cubed meat and grubber pellets work well, add some of the bait you are using on you hook, if i'm using Maize or Sweet corn i'll colour it red and put a few handfuls in with the groundbait, this is a universal recipe that will create the same response from bottm feeding fish, instead of using water to mould the groundbait use aliquid attractant that is proven to attract fish i recommend something with a high amino acid content, i.e squid or fish gutz flavours, this is great for carp, as for YOUR groundbait, keep a base mix of crumb and experiment with differant particles, differant things work on differant waters and after some mixing and matching you'll find the perfect bait to keep the fish rooting in your swim all session, Happy Fishin Micky UK
