good day fishing

i had a good 4 hours fishing today, sat in the sun, had a crucian carp and a small tench. my dad had two tench one around 5-6lb one about a pound less. for about 15 minutes we had 4 spitfires formation flying overhead, ready for the goodwood revival tomorrow. all in all a great session.

yeah,there isnt supposed to be tench that size in there, max of about 1lb. my dad got 2!! his mate calls 'him one hook wonder' and 'meathook dave' because he always uses a size 8 hook with 3 red maggots. he catches even tiny little roach,rudd and perch on it tho!!

Size 8 hook,now thats big for three maggots and i like the nickname of meathook dave it amazes me how small fish will still go for a hook that size when it is said that fish are hook shy at some places,that obviously is not the case here though

yh, anything will go for it. perch, rudd, roach, bream, tench,carp, u name it he has caught it!!
