Yes i have the same problem....i can't drive so that stops me going fishing as often as i would like but i do have one advantage though ....my wife drives and she fishes as well so although i have to make my plans around shopping trips i still get to go

I too want to go fishing -- but without not-male interference (I want to go shopping !!!)

so I'm looking for a caravan site near to me open in January where I can put my caravan next to the water and fish from my awning

and it's nigh on impossible to find one that is a reasonable price when you add up all their "extras"

cheapest is £10 but has not got electric (I need the heaing to work )
the dearest is £15 +£5 for fishing per night that makes 5 nights £100

wouldn't mind but the Holiday to Egypt only cost £550 for 10 nights all inclusive and that's including airfare

You can see I'm a little miffed can't you

I have the Kennet and Avon canal running through my back garden. Is awesome if you just wanna wake up and go fishing. The biggest fish i've caught down there is a 5lb tench and the big bream put up a decent fight (for bream anyways) so it is all good get the occasional small carp go by but never caught one. I just see them under the surface.
