Premier League Fishing

On the back of this weeks AT there is a report on bringing in a new format in to match fishing that will be based on the same format as the Darts and Snooker Matchroom play league but is this a new idea.

Some time ago now i mentioned about bringing in something that would benefit fishing but not just me i may add but others as well my idea was this...to form a league based on top match anglers lets say 8 then fish venues that hold only small fish,no big carp and weights of only around the 2lb mark and set a target of say 15lb in 2 hours NOT the five hours that is normal.....anyone that dose not catch 15lb in the time allowed gets no points but all that do will get points....there could be added points for the biggest fish caught to the most caught.....lets say it goes on for five matches then you could have the top four in a semi final match this time based on over all weight but over the same 2 hour match then the winners of both semis go on to the final head to head winner takes all based on the same format and with the right money it would be well worth it.

Now that was just my own idea but i am sure you might have others...this was mentioned on another site and the original idea was by a member called IRONFEVER...but i think it is a good one that needs a few pinches here and there but now it has been said in the AT it makes you wonder just how much does the Angling world listen before it wakes up....a new life is needed in the match arena and this COULD be the way forward and fishing over all would benefit.....what are your thoughts
