i need my first rod

i need a rod but i dont know what type of rod i should get i will be fishing for trout carp and barbel im confused

well unfortunately most trout fishing is done with a fly fishing rod which is different to what you would use for a barbel or a carp. for an execelent all rounder for most situations i would recomend the tf gear matt hayes all rounder. its around £100 but well worth the money. if thats a bit above your price range, which it most probably is, go to your local tackle dealer and they will be able to advise you much better

garbolino knockout 12ft waggler will be ideal, made for fisherys so lots of power in them and there only about £25-£30 quid

+1 the garbolino rods are a steal,i have the 9' picker and the 10' pellet waggler,ok not the best rods in the world but for the price,bargain!
if your fishing for specimen river barbel go for a purpose built rod or a rod with a strong test curve,

i brought the tf gear barbel intruder slim a couple days ago , 12ft 1.5lb test , really nice blank and only £80. a steal at that price if your considering specimen barbel fishing
