Talking Carp Season Is On It's Way (=

Carp season is only a few months away and I for one am absolutely bursting to get out onto the lakes and canals to catch some good ol' double figure carpies.

I just thought i'd exagerate my mood as I am very bored with catching pike instead of fish that won't try and eat my hand

If anyone wants to chat about Carp or just fishing itslef then I'm always happy to have a chat

Well why not although if you've got a river like the Trent near you you could try for a river Carp they fight a damn sight harder that the freshwater softies we have in this country

My best laugh for today
just got a new Carp rod reduced from £40 to £20 to £10 three pound test curve two piece nondescript make but it should handle the French Carp

lol. im glad your in the mood! our local fishery had KHV or something last year... was closed for months.. went last weekend to try out my new margain pole... they stocked all the pools with F1s and stock carp... had 4 nice stockies on corn! best day out we have ever had! you can tell i havent caught many carp before! time before the virus i had a 6.6lb mirror on my old pole. took fifteen tense minutes to get it in... then my brother dragged a 7lb common out last weekend and rubbed it well and truley in my face! there are carp upto 27lb in that particular pool which was also stocked up, but wasnt affected by the virus! so there are some biggies in there and im hoping to whip some out next weekend when we go again. Any ideas? i'll probably be on the pole.. There is no groundbait no hemp and i'v never seen anything caught on boilies there...

Woo for the season!

I thought every carp Fought Hard! i'v never caught anything bout 7lb on the pole.. But i hooked into "Something" last year which i could only describe to be impossible to catch on the rig i was on.. Meaning i said to my brother "i got one" he said how big.. then he just saw my elastic stretching into his peg as the fish dident appear to even slow down up pick up speed. dident seem like it knew it was hooked.. just swam away... no kicking no flapping.. just swam off then took my hook lol.. Gutted

Chandler that to me sounds like it was foul hooked and trust me on that one i am the ultimate master of foul hooking carp, i once foul hooked 15 fish in a match, only landed 7 for 58 lb, the biggest was 16 lb 5. if i would have landed the other 15 it would have been 150+

and gray welcome back.

Talking yes

i went fishing today theres a picture in the carp forum on picture of my carp u all helped me to catch subject

i have being going to a local fishery for 6 months and caught no carp then today of course i went float fishing and at the last moment i thought i will chuck a carp rod in for some luck maybe

my alarms went of within 10 mins but had a hook in my hand and by time i got there it had come out

15mins later it beeped once and then i looked at my rod tip it bent round againg and the alarm beeped so i decided to strike and landed a nice 13.5lb

carp later on i chucked it back out and had a massive run i thought it wasnt fighting like a carp and landed a 4.5lb golden tench my first ever one

my mates float fishing caught 6 roach so i was pleased i got the fish of the day

i think i deserved it i had caught nothing but pike for 6 months

im off pike fishing on saturday and on sunday of back for some carp im over the moon with it

it shows if you wait a few months for it to be more warmer it pays off

i caught them on a hair rig size 8 barbless hook on 1 rubber corn and 1 sweetcorn.

so carp seasons here alright
