Hi all im new btw. What exactly is a swim? lol how do u define where the swim is?

A Swim the area straight in front of you where you are fishing

A peg is usally marked for match fishing and is kept clear for comfort of the anglers


IF you are fishing a river that is fished from both banks then your swim stops at the centre of the river

on a lake it is accepted that you only fish the area around your marked out swim not any others next to you

ah ok, lol i have been thinking is there a defined part of a lake or river that only the trained eye can see lol! obviously not, thanks alot mate
