i have to do an i.c.t project at school on facts and opinions about football or fishing and i need help!
i am the only one in my class who has chosen fishing (even though i love football) so i ned things like: *proof-of fishing being the most popular(post the url) *ideas *arguments-like the english fishing team is better than the english football team(because england won the international championships of fishing) *only the uk i would apreciate the help and every one is calling me fishyboy now -mr murray you know who you arei am sticking to my opinion but it has to be in the uk and i cant find anything not even the teacher is supporting me-hes probably a(mr aliouche )mancheter united fan(i am a pure mancunian-manchester city) cheers for the help ![]() <><keep on fishin'><> Last edited by carping on : 10-01-2008 at 03:40 PM. |

Hi, Will.
The Statistics: Everyone has a different view on it. Some say fishing is much more popular then football - and others say it vise versa. In my PERSONNAL opinion - i would say that AT THE MOMENT - football is more popular then fishing but fishing is getting more and more popular - it's mainly starting to take effect on the younger generation, as well, which is good! ![]() The Suggestions: When i asked freinds and family about this a few weeks ago - most of them said they would rather fish then play football. The most popular reason was that fishing has a lot more variaty - it's not just sitting on a pier - it's sea fishing, course fishing, fly fishing, ice fishing, carp fishing, predator fishing and many more whereas football is just football. Other suggestions were things like:
On a survey back in 2006: Nearly all femals - younger and older prefered fishing to football. Over 40% of males - especilly the older generation prefered fishing to football. (around 20% of the younger generation o0f males prefered it). Overall Conclusion: As i said - everyone has different views. I don't think fishing is as popular as football - YET. But - more and more people are getting into it! GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR PROJECT! |

yh
and i agree with you get more pride catching a fish than scoring a goal i was telling my friends that they just argued! also we were talking about fishing games! yes fifa 09 is coming out and wil sell like a radar fishing rod ,like crazy unlike fishing games (which i own)on the wii and ds but i prefer them on the wii than fifa on the wii because its entertaining again my friends werent having it will i ever get my point through my teacher probably chose fishing because he thaght every one would say football-well i stick to my guns! i am going to do about 5 pages on it to get my point across to my class and maybe even a video (and post on here and youtube-yes i have an account-no im not telling you i would die of embarasment .i will not rest till i get my point across ![]() but in the world there are easily more people angling than shooting balls into nets coz that all it is(even though i am a seaon ticket holder at manchester city) i also searched on google-top ten sports.a graph came up and fishing wasnt even on there-but not much people class it as a sport tell me your views |
