I agree. They spent £3-Billion and why - what's more important - to find out how it all began or to not take the risk of ''ending the world''? Today - they sucsessfully completed stage 1 of 3 - and it should hopefully all be over in under a month - the atom's don't actully clash together until in 2 weeks time.
There is only a 1 in 50 Million chance that it could create a black hole and the world could end - so to be honest - i don't know what all the fuss is about.

I have just found out on the news that they won't be completing the experiment now until around Octobar 20th - so just over 1 month. We all know that ONE DAY - it will be the end of the world - but not then - not for years - decades even, i think. Most scientists say it shouldn't create a black hole - and some say it will - personnaly - think there's not a chance - but all will be revealed on the day! We'll see.

They are trying this experiment not only to create a mask of the ''big-bang'', but they say it would hopefully in the future supply a sufficent power source other then nuclear.

Just In - The Latest News Of This Experiment!...

I heared on the radio a few minutes ago that now over 95% of scientists say we WILL survive this - they said although they spent billions on it - it is still a very weak experiment - and will not cause an explosion or black hole. The other 4% - 5% of scientists say that although the risk is very low - there is still quite a high chance if something goes wrong.
Luckily i've stopped hearing about it ALL THE TIME!
I'll let you know when and if i hear anything else!
