- Any other useful tips

Its Killeshandra, ive seen one picture of it and it looks very nice, a little cottage right on the edge of the lake

Not been to Ireland
BUT

The problems I've heard folk talk about is the lack of fishing shops out in the countryside and the cost of stuff like Maggots

From my own advice . . . Im wracking my brains to think of a fish which would take halibut pellet in ireland?,
What are you after, Ireland is mainly lochs therefore bream roach tench?, hybrids and PERCH! Oh and a load of spotty things which go to fly, (Nobody cares about them )

My advice would be the traditional baits
Maggot, caster WORM, bread sweetcorn and crumb groundbait would be my guess.
Hope this helps, i just cant see halibut pellet being useful

Michael

Got to agree with Michael there is much less pressure on fishing over there and "modern" baits just aren't needed as much
You may find they attract lots of nuisance fish so make real fishing problematic

IF you are not flying sort out some way of keeping a couple of gallon of maggots cool -- try an electric cool bag and ice packs as will need to be switched off on ferry or it will drain the car battery
