WHY?????

I am not going to censure you this time but I think you would have been more productive telling some of the newer anglers how to skin a dogfish

Talking I can help!

Hi, i'm Josh, The Cornish Kingfisher. I can help you with ow to skin a dogfish, there is a usefull link for more help aswell.

First, you need to cut off all of the fins, and when you do, go into the flesh.
Then, peirce the knife right into the bellt of the dogfish, bringing the knife up to the head, and go right into the chin.
When the fish is all open and flat, take out all of the insides.
The dogfish species have quite tough skin, so the best way to cut of their head, is by standing with one foot on their head, and then with the tail, pulling it so that the flesh rips. It dosn't matter if their is some more flesh attached to the head, just cut this off with a knife.
Also, with the knife, cut off the tail.
Cut the meat off skin cut into pieces, and the your done.
You should have 2 or 3 fillets out of this.
The best way to cook it, is to dip the fillets in batter and fry them in a hot pan. They are best left for about 3 - 4 days before cooking them. They should be kept in the fridge or freezer.

Here is a link to youtube for more information on skinning dogfish:
More Information

Dogfish are around in Cornwall quite a bit at the moment, see my venues post for more informtaion (see below)
I find that down here, the best baits for doggies are sandeel and peeler-crab.
I hope that this information helps!
