I totally agree, what's the big deal? I my self, although not a total novice fisherman, as I fished quite a lot in my youth. I have recently started fishing again (after a 20 tear break) and found it a mine field. I find this type of forum extremely useful as there are people kind enough to share information they feel may help others. What's the big deal, if you know how to cast your fly move on to the next thread, you don't have to put down the generous nature of the individual who has taken the time to help others. Anyway I found it quite useful so thanks.

I tottaly agree with you. Most posts on the site a good, some, great even, but there are the rare few like these ones and all of bass king's posts, that are no help at all.
And why is this post entitled ''rod size? real size?'', and then it turns out on something completly different - ie ''how to cast a fly rod'', well, without coming across as rude, i already know that, like many other people.
