I have been in this situation a few times .The first few times i phoned the police and they did nothing i then phoned the EA hot line and they said if there is more than one of them they won't do anything because of vilent reactions to there staffso the next time it happened i asked them politly to put the fish back and was told to f off now my faverit method is ask them to put the fish back and if that dom't work then i just let the bank stick slide down my arm and ask them againif that dosn't work i leave the rest to your imagination now i don't condone vilentce i 'm a reseved pasafist i reserve the right not to be in the right situation but it has worked and the fiss were returen specily if the vilents is aimed at the vehical befor the people involved

The problem is police dont get there in time, secondly the environment agency are absoultly useless and 3, i was on night guard at my local fisherie, running around in the bushes fully camoflauged making sure ppl were up to no good, van pulled up with a big barrel in the back. i radio'ed through the the owner and said there is 3 people trying to steal our livestock, so he replied there is nothing we can do there is too many people, so i decided to walk towards them with a very short and thick guage piece of wood and told em to clear off.
