If its like my sons whip and is not elasticated and just has an eye on the tip. Thread your line through the eye and tie a loop on the end of it then pass the hook end through the loop.
Thats how I do it, there might be better ways.
Cheers.

Elasticating a pole
this may help with putting an elastic onto your whip

good luck

you can buy elasticatic whips for about £20 now
i personally would not elasticate the whip due to the fact that they are only made to catch small fish like roach rudd etc...if you want something stronger i would go for a margin pole or just use top three sections of a pole

barney bobs has the best idea of just threading the loop through the metal eye & then pass the rig through it

i hope this helps

Cool

if you have a wip with just a ring on the end put a safety clip ( forgot proper name ) then you can just clip one on it a lot easier then putting the float throught the loop and all that

you could also tie with uni or grinner knot into the metal eye & treat it like an eye of a hook i suppose
good luck
