So far this year I must have been checked at 15 different pools by Licence Baliffs. Every time it was a different baliff who checked.

They are out there so it is not worth the risk to fish unlicenced, don't take a gamble on wether or not you will get caught.

Well I will be getting mine on Payday 28th this cycle -- getting paid every 4 weeks is different even after 10 years it takes some working out but getting 13 paydays a year doesn't half cock DD's up

Get mine on line every year so no problems there but never have i been asked to show it by any of the baliffs i have met they are more intrested in getting there money than who is fishing illegaley but i must admit i've got a pint of maggots left and it's tempting not to just do that on last sess on me local river because the lakes dont have a closed sesaon now days which i don't agree with makes the rod licence a laughing stock .my local pool is more concerned with disscorageing carp fisher man than it is with the state of the lake the fish or any thimg and it pains me to say this as i to am a bird watcher but thats all the local baliff cares about thea carp men do to much damage than silverfish men and he will sit there with his glasses spying so he can harras carp fishers scuse me but what a prat.

consevation to a point

ps i fogot in my little rant there we have a 25 acer lake in Redditch and slowly we are gettig less andless pegs a few years ago they closed the top 2to 5 acers of to fishermen where the carp sporn undrestandable .but still let the dingies go like mad things round there and then to add accident io injury but the main duck feeding area at the top therethat was about 5years ago now all the big carp i mean the real clever ones stay up at the top and fight the ducks and ghees for the bread i have watched fish 35 40 + draging birds under just to get the bread fare enough but you ileagle fisherman /east european and the likes have sussed this and ileagaly night fish that spot and not only that it has stoped the normal patten or big fish cruseing the lake .Is it not bad enough that when a cupple of different vireses hit the lake over the last ten years first the perch went then all the big bream died they take £50 pound a year to fish this lake but will they restock not on yournelly it took a patition last year just to get some of the trees cut back and naw peg put in of which they shortend the number of peggs then they removed most of the reed life in the open not the conservation part now i have fished this lake since i was 12 im 40 now and they have totaly destroyed it. the words conservation and a local countsal are about the same as mileitry inttelegents threre ain't non sorry about the rant but this gits me specile when the river arrow that the EA run go,s right past and in 10 years it has gone from a poluted little brook to a river full of brown trout barble chub 4Lb perch and at this lake theres never in my time been a place to dip your netts know wonder the fish keep dyeing yours really peeved Iain
