match rules

When you are fishing a match and an angler casts his line out and then decides because nothing is happening ,he decides to leave his peg and have a chat with the bloke in the next peg.When he goes back there is a fish pulling away at his line he brings it in can the fish actually count as he has left his peg?

Accoding to the terms of his EA Licence he was breaking the law
You are not allowed to leave a rod un-attended -- not even for a pee

Not sure on match rules but they MUST reflect the law
