I have had a great sucess so far this year on the copper Dabbler.
last year i had friends over to fish Island derry and the two of them caught over 15o fish for the week end on it. It is a fantastic fly when fished from the boat on a sunny day with a big wave. Last week i used a Strangford eel in a HD7 with a 5 ft cast and caught 25 fish in the evening. so that is my 2 favourite flies so far |

depends on time of year/venue,
now being september i'd prefer ;- goldhead daddy long legs for the lakes and some rivers, g&h sedge/ royal wulf or match the hatch iron blues used to be good on the hants chalk streams. Last edited by geejayy : 09-21-2007 at 10:36 PM. |

This is one of my more favoured wet flies/nymphs that I use on the river Derwent in Derbyshire
Just called a red and yellow simple to tie yourself mostly Maribu feather a little ribbon for the body and thread and is deadly
