World Tarpon Record Attempt

First trip fully allocated on the 18th Feb we leave to break the world Tarpon record in Gambia, due to demand another expedition goes out 4th March 2003, we have 2 places left, this is a special as world current record holder and legend Billy Pate 16lb tippet holder since 1982 with a 188lb tarpon on fly will be joined by tom gibson and almaredo madaira all experts fishing legends all recoed holders, Bob Glynn Britians foremost Tarpon expert is guiding the tour and fish of 303lb 380lb have already came f his secret location over the past 2 years average fish are 200lb ! yes 200lb thats 7ft long of muscle and if you hook a 300lb'er well its like a tower block jumping out of the water, tackle is supplied by Bob he is one of only two people in europe to hold 14/15 weight fly rods reels each set is £1500.00 worth and is required to fight one of these fish.

The Attempts are all tackle record to beat 283lb
The 20lb tippet record ladies 99lb mens 202lb
The 26lb tippet record (Billy Pate) 188lb.
the 12lb tippet record (Clyde Balch) 177lb.
