rainbow on stillwaters

hi what tactics and flies would be best for fishing a stillwater for rainbow's at this time of the year?

I use slow sinking line or intermediate and small flies such as shipmans buzzer or bloodworm fished very slowly and steadily.Also any sort of fritz usually picks up a few stockies.

Something bright fished slow such as


and I don't always go small depending on the water and what's showing sometimes I'll go realy big
OK sometimes that means I get a Pike and get bitten off but sometimes it's worth the risk for a realy big hungry Trout
