Well good luck with it, carping on!
I've never fished in Turkey before - so i can't help you on the best techniques as it may be inaccurate but i can tell you these bits of information whitch are accurate: Probley the best way to sea-fish in Turkey is off a boat but the shores can be breat aswell. In the warm waters off the shore there - you can catch many ''animal-named-fish''. Such as lionfish, the tropical catfish, porcupine fish and most probley parrotfish. You will also be able to catch tropical species such as clownfish, angelfish and many more fish that you'd probley expect to get in the warmer waters. You may also have a chance of some fish that you may see in the UK such as mullet, bonito, goby/rockling and shad. Beware of the poisonous dragonfish and the potenial dangerous lionfish! Don't forget your factor 25 sunscreen, a bottle of ice-cold water and hat! ![]() Good Luck! ![]() |

First of all I've moved the thread to fishing abroad
Next to answer the question Unless you are on a specialised fishing holiday try taking a telescopic rod such as the Decathlon - Rod GEOLOGIC FISHING - Senior mer 350 set GEOLOGIC FISHING - novice seashore anglers. or a short pole like this one Decathlon - Rod GEOLOGIC FISHING - Telescopocket 4m GEOLOGIC FISHING - anglers who seek a 4m compact and easy rod for leisure use. both are less than 80cm closed up so fit in a suitcase easily for the terminal tackle I use a semi-rigid toilet bag that came free with a certain brand of irresistible deodorant to keep the stuff safe and not get floats broken in baggage handling, don't forget a towel to wipe your hands and some waterless hand cleanser as well as a disgorger take ready tied hooks with you as it's easier and tackle shops are few and far between. and breakfast rolls from the hotel are free bait on a size 14 hook turn some of the soft bread into really hard paste and hang on when the 2lb mullet get it you need to on light tackle I use a 5g float on the pole with the weight all together to stop nuisance fish trying to eat it & fake baits just don't work as the little blighters just rip 'em to shreds ![]() BUT When this is where you can fish ![]() and the temperature is 35-40 degrees Who cares BTW don't forget sun BLOCK
