it depends on your Carp pool
The ones around me are/have been going mad on Halibut flavour ones

but then Tutti-frutti always works too

Yea i think you have to know a water a little before a flavor in bait is picked, but in general and if only one bait was on offer, i would go for a fishmeal rich bait myself ......

i have found fishy ones in the summer and fruity ones in the winter work well, but i mainly use mussels, prawn, squid rings, even sea baits like peeler crab and rag worm. and the last time i went fishing i couldnt stop catching on good old cheese (red leister & tesco own mild cheder) they were going barmy for it, also i feed with a mix of hemp, tuna, sardines all mashed up together. never yet failed me.

Well the carp lake i fish on, nobody uses boilies, luncheon meat and bread are the most ppular, but beef sausage always works for me, but becase no1 uses boilies, i thoght they would work well. But pretty much no1 caught today on the lake i was fishing, so i not sure if it was the boilies that didnt work, or just the fish were not biting...
