tench fishing

hi i'm new to the forum
i'm of fishing this weekend and i just wondered whats the best method to catch tench in the winter in my local pond. any tips?

well yomis thinks, hummm i know, fish over a bed of hemp with iver maggot or sweetcorn with size 16 hook

tench are a rarety in the winter, my advice would to go for a different species

even if there go scarse in the winter ev3en though you woundnt fish for them what would you do if u had 2

hemp as a main bed of bait, few handfuls of sweetcorn and red maggots . . . should be alright??

Well for tench i just use raw beef sausage on a size 10 hook.

Well when i caught my 8lb 8oz tench at my lake i was fishing with a big lob worm and no ground bait and i positioned my quiver-tip by some reeds and i took a bite at dusk and then missed another bite about 30 mins later.

But if i was to put a ground bait down i would use hemp and smaller lobworms.
