if you have only just got back into fishing, my reccomdation would be to buy a pole which is 11-13m as they can be a devil to control if you go any longer!. if you want an all purpose pole then you should look for a light, stiff pole, look for spares, a match top 2 and power top 3 would be ideal, hope that helps!

AND you could get enough pole kit for a lot less than £100 too there are some really serious deals around so it's best to browse a lot first

Con 2 points spring to mind on this one.
Although the Full Monty deal looks OK and will probably do you wonderfully as a puddle winch , if you havent fished a pole before then it most certainly wont do silver work on your local cut well for you. In that situation it would be a pig. "Multi purpose poles" are a bit of a con Con lol unless you are going to spend a fair bit of brass. If you largely fish commercials then you will get away (power wise)with that Full Monty deal. You may well struggle to reach features though with 11 mtre tops. If you fish canals then I would try to save up another ton and then look for something much better on the second hand market. If you shed out 200 quid on a new pole then find out you cant get on with it then you can only expect to get half of that back. The price of a cheap new pole drops by half before you close the shop door going back to the car. Im not rubbishing what anyone else has said. Far from it. Just raising a couple of points to be aware of. |
