Peg 7 does look more fishy with the reeds but all of them should have something in
seems a bit narrow and slow so good pole stream

Try a big bunch of worms

Go natural fish tend to get very wary of strange stuff in such a little river

I would agree most of them pegs will hold barbel, they do like streamer weed and gravel bottoms. there not an easy fish to catch by all means, meat is the best bait for them fished over hemp, just ledger in a small river like that no point in putting in loads of feed via a feeder you can throw it in by hand.

also theres no need to put a load of feed in as thye fish will already be there, a big bunh of worms is great but perch are a problem also small nusience chub will take worms. meat is best bait in my opinon too, try freelining it down the swim and feel for the bites? beforehand though let a ;ead run through to feel if theres any holes or hills

The key problem with worm and feeding maggots is your going to get stacks of perch, if you use hemp and meat you wont have this problem.

Freelining is just that no weights or floats just a hook and bait and you let the line run through your fingers with the baitrunner off when you feel the bite snap the baitrunner on and hold on

You will miss a few until you ge the hang of it but it' a perfect remedy for spooked up fish
